Paper of Prof. Yuan Yifei’s Group Published in Nature Sustainability, Sub-journal of Nature
Sustainable aqueous zinc-manganese battery combines one of the oldest battery chemistries with favorable sustainability characteristics including safety, cost and environmental compatibility. However, the ambiguous charge storage mechanism presents a challenge to fulfil the great potential of this energy technology.
Recently, Professor Yuan Yifei and Associate Professor He Kun of Wenzhou University, in collaboration with the Argonne National Lab, the University of Illinois and the University of Oxford, have published a paper entitled "Understanding intercalation chemistry for sustainable aqueous zinc-manganese dioxide batteries" in the top international journalNature Sustainability.
Wenzhou University is the first author affiliation of this paper, with Associate Professor He Kun of Wenzhou University as the corresponding author. Professor Wang Shun, Professor Jin Huile, and graduate student Li Chenghang of Wenzhou University participated in this work. The relevant work has been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (52002287) and other projects.
